Steps to Participate:

| Step 1- Fill out the study application form. Fill out the application form to the right and click 'Submit'. If you have a question about the study, include it in the form - we will answer it. Participation requires an A-HEC annual sponsorship or nomination by one of our corporate sponsors. |
| Step 2- Specify your respondents. This is based on the mix of respondents appropriate to the maturity of your initiative and your self-audit goals. You select a mix of administration, faculty, staff, or students as makes sense. We will advise you in this regard. |
| Step 3- Your participants receive and the IsL survey. The average completion time is 30 minutes. |
| Step 4- Receive your private self-audit report in PDF format. You will receive electronic versions to share with your colleagues in 30 to 60 days after all the surveys are completed. |

| *PRIVACY POLICY AND DISCLAIMER: Names, email addresses, contact information, or individual responses collected during the survey process will not be shared or distributed in any manner without a prior express written consent from the individual respondent. Institutional, departmental, college, or other operating unit results and benchmark comparisons will not be shared with third parties without an express written consent from an institutional representative. However, study aggregate data and averages and other non-contributory results will be shared in an open annual research report available to the public in performance of A-HEC's non-profit mission.
A-HEC may request explicit permission to publish a profile of an institutional participant in the annual study and would only include a profile if the institution representative grants permission. It is understood by all participants that this work constitutes research with no guarantees as to the accuracy or usefulness of the results. Participation is voluntary.
